Terms of Service
The rules for using FreeAIDetector.org. By using the site, you agree to them.
Last updated October 22, 2026
In short
- The detector is free for personal, educational, research and non-commercial investigative use.
- Results are estimates and can be wrong. Don’t treat them as proof, and never use one alone to accuse someone.
- Use the website, not scripts: automated or bulk access isn’t allowed.
Using the service
FreeAIDetector.org is free to use for personal, educational, research and non-commercial investigative purposes. You must have the right to upload any image or video you check.
Results are estimates
AI detection is probabilistic. Results can be wrong, especially for edited, compressed or illustrated images, and missing AI metadata doesn't prove an image is authentic. Don't use a result as the only basis for legal, academic, employment or disciplinary decisions, or to accuse anyone, without independent verification.
The same applies to video. Video detection samples keyframes and assesses visual generation markers. It can misinterpret aggressive compression, cinematic effects or low lighting, and subtle deepfakes may be missed. Never rely on a video score as sole evidence without secondary verification.
Fair use
To keep the service free for everyone, you agree not to:
- Access the service with scripts, bots or other automated tools, or call its endpoints from your own apps or servers.
- Get around usage limits, session tokens or other protections.
- Upload illegal content, or content you don’t have the right to share.
- Use the image-link fetcher to probe networks or to download anything other than a public image.
We may limit, suspend or block access that looks abusive.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FreeAIDetector.org and its contributors aren't liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service or reliance on its results.
